With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved John at the Erie Shores Hospice on November 18, 2022, at 75 years of age. Dear husband of 53 years to Susan Chovan (nee Duga). Loving father of Ruth Rose (Ken), Richard Chovan (Tanya), and Erik Chovan (Stephanie). Treasured Grandpa of Haley, Nathan, Sawyer, and Makenna. Great grandpa of Palmer. Brother of Kathy Papov (Mike), Betty Brych (late William), Helen Ruiz (late Pedro), Martha Markovic (George) and the late Caslav Chovan (late Otilia). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John lived everyday as a devout Christian. He was a very hard-working man, enjoyed travelling with his family and spreading the Gospel. John is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. N, Essex on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Graceland Cemetery in Olinda. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
